Arnold Newman( 3 March 1918, New York--6 June 2006,New York), was an American photgrapher, noted for his "environmental portraits"of artists and politicians. He was also known for his carefully composed abstract still life images.
Newman graduated high school in Miami Beach and attended the Univesity of Miami studying painting and drawing with an introduction to Modernism.
